Pray and play

Date posted:

Our 'Pray and Play' group meets on the second Thursday in the month 10 - 11am during term time.  The emphasis of the group is praying for our children and pre-school children are catered for on the premises.
Come and join us as we pray for our own and each other's children (and grandchildren).
We pray:
That the promises of God will become reality in the futures of our children. Psalm 103:17 says "But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children." Our prayers can be prophesies as we seek God to write a good and pleasing future for out children.
Through the immediate needs that we may be facing.  We join with other parents who have similar hopes and heartbreaks.  Empathy fuels intercession.  Aaron and Hur held up Moses' arms when he was weary in battle.  All of us need people who will stand in the gap in times of struggle; people who are strong when we are weak and full of faith when we're running on empty.
For ourselves and each other.  Parenting is hard!  Coming into the presence of God with our hopes and concerns so often reveals to us how we can modify our own behaviour and find a better way to understand and relate to our children.  As we chase after God to win the hearts of our children for Him, we in turn are transformed and blessed.
